Ricardo 2019 WaterfestWith temperatures scorching in the high 90's all weekend it didn't affect the racers from showing up and participating in the largest Island Dub A/GAS field in history. We want to thank Mike Pauciullo and Dan at Waterfest for allowing us to run alongside you guys in the Outlaw class.

We had a total of 17 cars in attendance and at the end of qualifying over a 2 day span it was Stephen Hawes sitting on top of the ladder with a 8.565 @ 160mph. Just behind him is current points leader and defending champion Ricardo Javier Tolay with an 8.737 and a blistering 171mph.

Even with track temperatures reaching close to 140 degrees the Atco Dragway staff gave us one of the best tracks we've seen in over a year. They worked tirelessly keeping the track in phenomenal shape and many racers clicked off some of their best passes to date. Racers such as Zachary Martin ran a 9.394, Austin Johnson III ran 9.729, and Richie Weekes a 9.687.

During eliminations Ricardo got a bye run first round when Reggie Leewas unable to make the car due to transmission issues. In Round 2 Ricardo also got the bye so he was slowly adding to his points lead. Unfortunately for Stephen Hawes he got taken out in Round 2 by Richie Weekes. When all the dust settled it was Richie Weekes making a run at the champion and unfortunately came up short when Ricardo laid down a blazing 8.772 @ 174mph in the heat of the day. This is Ricardo's 3rd win in a row for the JayCee Enterprises Heritage Series. Congratulations to Ricardo and his team.
