Jack Sacchette at JayCee Enterprises has just confirmed that they will be the 2019 Heritage Series title sponsor. Jack and his team have been making Vw Parts since 1980 while he was still in high school. Many of you are familiar with JayCee and their industry leading parts for the aircooled Vw. On September 29th the V-Dub Drag Fest took place at Numidia Dragway. This was our 2nd stop in the International Motor Shop I/GAS class points series. We had over 15 of our members show up for the chase for the championship and a handful of other racers attending the event as well. Coming into the event current points leader Eric Hengstenberger had a target on his back. Eric was unfortunately knocked out in the 2nd round of eliminations by Rick Lazar.
In the finals it paired up Gene Ulrich against our 2014 I/GAS Champion Eric Hellmuth who took a few years off and has stormed back into the scene in a hurry. Both drivers were amped up and redlit as the tree came down but fortunately for Gene his redlight was not as bad as Erics. This is Gene's first ever win and we want to take a moment and congratulate him on his victory. He has done a lot of test and tune runs lately and is getting his rhythm in his new car.
Also a congratulations on Eric Hellmuth who just joined the series and jumped from last to 4th in the standings after just one event. Our final race of the season is on October 14th at Maple Grove Raceway and it should be a doozy. We look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks for our final race of the season to crown our 2018 Champions.

One of the east coasts fastest growing Vw Events is showing no signs of slowing down. Not even mother nature’s threat of rain hindered the event on Saturday August 11th at Mason Dixon Dragway. The weekend started off with the Legends Race on Friday night which consisted of drivers that were 55 years or older. It was meant to bring out some of the long-time racers such as Pete Peek, Henry Williams and a few other Legends of our sport. Unfortunately for Henry he was unable to make it at the last minute. Pete Peek was in attendance until transmission issues took him out. In the finals of the Legends race it was Doug Stewart in his dragster taking the win over Wayne Farquhar in his stock 2018 Jetta.
After multiple rain delays and countless hours drying the track the crew at Atco Dragway was underway with Waterfest 24. This was the first race of the season feaurting our Island Dubs sponsored A/GAS Pro Mod Class. At the conclusion of qualifying it was an air cooled sitting at the top spot against a tough field of watercooled cars. Stephen Hawes qualified at the #1 spot with a 8.64 @ 162mph.
Ricardo Tolay was #3, Mike Pauciullo #6, James Castellano #9, Todd Pavics #10 and Richie Weekes at #11. During Eliminations Stephen Hawes broke a fuel pump in Round 2 against Franky Criner who went on to become the runner up of the race against Chris Green from Florida.
James Castellano advanced to the 3rd round before being eliminated which puts him #1 in the points leading into our next race at Mason Dixon on August 11th. The shots have been fired by the watercooled cars and they're sitting at the top spot in points.
In 1978 Dave Folts Transmissions started out doing Vw and Porsche transaxles for off-road and drag racing vehicles. As the racing industry changed so has our business.
We still do Vw and Porsche transaxles but now we also build, race prep, and manufacture parts for various other types of transaxles. These include albins ,fortins, mendeola, and pbs transaxles. With all our equipment we can design a part, build a part and then use this part to hopefully make a much better transaxle. We are also distributors for the above-mentioned products.
